Here are the answers to some of your most frequently asked questions. Do I apply to my UK university before or after applying to Chevening? This will depend on the deadlines set by your chosen UK universities. To take up a Chevening Scholarship in 2024, you need to make sure you secure at least one unconditional UK university offer by the 11 July 2024 offer deadline. What type of references do I need for my Chevening application? You will need two referees. They can be known to you in a professional or academic capacity. They should not be a relative or personal friend. What counts towards the Chevening work experience requirement? You must have completed 2,800 hours of work experience. This can be full-time employment, part-time employment, remote work, voluntary work, or paid or unpaid internships. Applications to Chevening are open until 5 November 2024. Advice for settling into life in the UK   Online application system support All applications for Chevening must be completed via the online application system. You can access the application system during the application window by following the ‘apply today’ link on the apply page of your home country or territory. The deadline to request a password reset for the online application system is the end of October. To request a password reset, applicants should email the technical support inbox (cheveningsupport@chevening.org).
